I am a Functional Lead, and I oversee helpdesk support to ensure customer issues are resolved promptly and effectively. My team is responsible for the resolution, escalation and triaging of most complex issues related to Operations & Maintenance.
In addition, I coordinate all audit and compliance requests for our project. I also facilitate all the reporting for our project and assist all projects with various day-to-day process inquiries.
Over the course of my professional career, these three lessons are among the most important ones I have learned so far.
If I won the lottery, the very first thing I would do is buy a commercial lot of land to help fulfill my husband’s dream of owning his own gym. Since beginning his fitness journey, my husband has lost over 150 lb. and aspires to motivate people who struggle with weight loss. Seeing him accomplish his dream would be priceless.
Having a young family, sometimes the only spare time I get is during my commute to work. On the ride, I enjoy listening to true crime podcasts. Some of my favorites are Court Junkie, Martinis and Murder and The Minds of Madness. If I can find the time, I also love to settle in with a good, suspenseful book.
When I was attending West Virginia University, I interned at the WVU Creative Arts Center and sold tickets through TicketMaster for the upcoming shows. One of the neat parts of working at the center was that sometimes you got to meet the artists and their crew members.
Though I have never been very interested in watching sports, I love to play volleyball. I started playing when I was about six years old. During high school, my team was nationally ranked, and we won the state tournament. Unfortunately, after a back injury and a torn meniscus, I chose not to play in college, but I still enjoy playing recreationally when the opportunity presents itself.
My coach in high school used to always say, “You can’t control the uncontrollable.” This statement leads me to my favorite professional quote from Charles Lloyd, “You can control two things: your work ethic and your attitude.”
