I am a Senior Cloud Engineer working on initiatives with the LASAR team at the Department of Labor (DOL). The projects I am working on bring additional value to the team of data scientists operating research projects using innovative, open-source platforms.
I grew up in Mumbai, India and have since lived in quite a few places across the U.S. including San Jose, California and Birmingham, Alabama. On the East coast, I have previously lived in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
I love listening to soft rock music from the 80’s and 90’s including bands like R.E.M., Guns N’ Roses, Pet Shop Boys and Phil Collins. I also enjoy listening to the Golden Oldies of Hindi cinema.
I really wish I knew how to ski! I may soon have this ability, however, since I am now working on learning the ropes.
My favorite childhood memory is going on vacation to the hill station of Matheran with my parents. It is located in the Western Ghats of India at an elevation of about 2600 feet above sea level. It’s a beautiful scenic spot with amazing views of the mountains. The train ride going up there is the most fun part of the journey. It is also Asia’s only automobile-free hill station.
I love to read, enjoy the outdoors and listen to music. On the weekends, I enjoy going on hikes with my family.
At Synergy, I have the opportunity to work on some exciting new skills in the Linux domain, thus adding to my repertoire and helping me grow and be more knowledgeable in those areas.
