In my three years on the team Cavbotics, I have been able to experience moments I never would have imagined before. I joined in my freshman year of high school and since then have gone to 5 competitions, gotten experience in mechanical engineering and graphic design, made several professional connections, and rose to the position of Team Captain. Now I work to make the team better in any way I can, not only to stay competitive, but also to build a new generation of engineers and leaders.

While this is only my second year participating in FIRST Robotics and being a part of our school’s team, Cavbotics, I’ve had such an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience with this community and I recommend anyone to try out the program.

Being on the Woodson Robotics team has taught me valuable long-term skills from critical thinking and problem solving to management and technical skills/knowledge. It has made me appreciate and love the work of engineering around me and inspired me to possibly pursue a career in engineering.
