Maria Genar serves as Growth Lead for Synergy’s Federal Civilian sector, where she drives mission-focused growth strategies supporting federal agencies across GSA, USDA, DOT, FDIC and the broader civilian landscape. She brings a results-driven approach to IT modernization, aligning capture, delivery, and client engagement to advance innovative, mission-aligned solutions for federal civilian partners.
Maria’s experience spans growth leadership, business development, and program delivery across complex federal environments. Prior to joining Synergy, she held senior growth and business development roles at RIVA Solutions and Unissant, where she led pipeline development and client strategy across federal civilian and DHS portfolios. Her background also includes program and delivery leadership supporting large-scale federal contracts as well as operations lead at a Silicon Valley startup.
Earlier in her career, Maria served in program and training leadership roles supporting the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute, where she led global training initiatives and assessment programs in support of U.S. diplomatic missions abroad.
Maria holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Diversity Studies from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication from the University of South Florida. She is bilingual in Swedish.
