Matt Bailey serves as Director of Enterprise Cyber Security at Synergy, where he leads cybersecurity strategy, enterprise risk initiatives, and various programs across federal environments. With more than a decade of experience in security engineering, systems modernization, DevSecOps, and enterprise network operations, he brings a strong technical foundation and a clear understanding of mission-critical cybersecurity needs.
Matt employs an all-in, customer-centric leadership style to transform the delivery of secure software and enterprise information systems, primarily across the DHS portfolio. A dedicated Agile Evangelist, he is responsible for establishing and scaling high-impact DevSecOps teams focused on secure, mission-critical software delivery.
Before joining Synergy, Matt served in various security and IT focused roles in the energy, healthcare and education space, championing transformation of cybersecurity programs while remaining cognizant of end-user needs.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Security with a minor in Business from George Mason University. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a Project Management Professional (PMP), reflecting his commitment to both technical excellence and enterprise project leadership.
