What do you like to do in your spare time?

My spare time is often spent with my wife and son on food ventures. The two of them are in the restaurant business, and we all love to try new places to eat together!

Before working at Synergy, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

Around the time that I finished my college degree, I owned and operated an art gallery in Virginia Beach for nine years where I sold my artwork. Most of the paintings were custom orders or murals done in homes.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?

My favorite place to go is anywhere near a warm beach. Over the last few years, I have traveled to Nosara, Costa Rica and Oahu, Hawaii. Last year, my family and I took a vacation to travel the coast of California on PCH1 (Pacific Coast Highway 101) from San Francisco to San Diego!

What are three lessons you’ve learned thus far in your professional life?

  1. The first impression really does count, so make it a good one.
  2. Learn to listen, take advice, and share knowledge with your team members.
  3. Be on time.

When do you feel at your happiest?

I feel the happiest when I am at home or anywhere with my wife and son. We love to travel and eat together!

What have you gained from working at Synergy?

Working at Synergy brought me to a different approach on handling both projects and customers that I have been working with for years! This approach also helped generate renewed effort amongst the team members. Synergy continues to follow and hone their approach after three years!
